The Paediatric Intensive Care Society welcome applications for membership from any person actively involved in paediatric intensive care or involved in work contributing to the paediatric intensive care field.

Nomination

An application for membership can be made by sending the Secretary an application form containing description of your clinical activity, professional position and qualifications. The Honorary Secretary will validate membership applications. Any applications for membership which are not straightforward will be discussed at the next meeting of Council.

Once an application has been accepted, Membership becomes effective on first payment of subscription.

Subscription

Members pay an annual subscription set by council which varies according to which journal is chosen:

For members who choose Pediatric Critical Care Medicine the annual subscription is £70 per annum, for members who choose the Nursing in Critical Care Journal the annual subscription is £36 per annum.

The annual subscription is collected every April by Direct Debit. For new members, first year subscriptions are paid on a pro-rata basis. 

      
The Direct Debit run will take place in early April and Direct Debit mandates (along with application forms) will need to be submitted to PICS at least three weeks in advance.  For those members who apply for membership after the first week of March, please send a cheque for the pro-rata amount.   Please make it payable to Paediatric Intensive Care Society and send it along with your application form and DD mandate (which will be activated at the beginning of the next subscription year). 

Membership Rights

Members may participate in the business and scientific sessions of meetings and have voting rights.
